Conflict of Interest Policy

THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE FOR THE MISSION OAKS RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT
This is the Conflict of Interest Code for the Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District. The Conflict of Interest Code consists of the following Sections along with Appendix 1 California Code of Regulations, Appendix 2 which designates employees and Appendix 3 which sets disclosure categories.
A. Designated employees shall file statements of economic interests
B. Statements shall be filed with the Director of Administrative Services for the District
C. Annual statements will be filed no later than April 30 of each calendar year.
D. Any filer required to disqualify himself or herself shall give notice of disqualification in
writing to the District Administrator. The District Administrator shall give written notice
to the Chair of the Advisory Board.
E. Upon request, any filer who would like assistance with filling out their statement may
request assistance from County Counsel.
F. Designated employees violating any provision of this Conflict of Interest Code are subject to the administrative, criminal, and civil sanctions provided in the Political Reform Act of 1974.

18730 Provisions of Conflict of Interest codes
A. Incorporation by reference of the terms of this regulation along with the designation of
employees and the formulation of disclosure categories in the Appendix referred to below constitute the adoption and promulgation of a conflict of interest code within the meaning of Section 87300 or the amendment of a conflict of interest code within the meaning of Section 87306 if the terms of this regulation are substitutes for terms of a conflict of interest code already in effect.
B. The terms of a conflict of interest code amended or adopted and promulgated pursuant to this
regulation are as follows:
Section 1 Definitions
The definitions contained in the Political Reform Act of 1974, regulations of the Fair Political
Practices Commission (Regulations 18110, et seq.), and any amendments to the Act or regulations, are incorporated by reference into this conflict of interest code.
Section 2 Designated Employees.
The persons holding positions listed in the Appendix are designated employees.
Section 3 Place of Filing
All filings will be available at the Mission Oaks District Office, 3344 Mission Avenue, Carmichael,
CA 95825
Section 4 Times of Filing
Initial Statements will be required within 30 days of the adoption of this policy by the Advisory Board. Assuming Office Statements will be required within 30 days after the first day of work Annual Statements will be required by April 30ᵗʰ of each year. Leaving Office Statements will be required within 30 days of leaving.
Section 5 Manner of Reporting
Statements of economic interests shall be made on forms prescribed by the Fair Political Practices
Commission currently referred to as a Form 700.
Section 6 Assistance of the Commission and Counsel
Any designated employee who is unsure of his or her duties under this code may request assistance from the Fair Political Practices Commission or from County Counsel.
Section 7 Violations
This code has the force and effect of law. Designated employees violating any provision of this
code are subject to the administrative, criminal, and civil sanctions provided in the Political Reform Act of 1974.
